ABOUT
We are a small, friendly preschool set in the East Sussex countryside, overlooking Bodiam castle. We accept children from two years old from the surrounding area including Ewhurst, Staplecross, Seddlescombe, Cripps Corner, Salehurst, Robertsbridge, Sandhurst and Hawkhurst.
We are a free flow setting, meaning the children have unlimited and free access to our safe, fenced outdoor area at all times. This area includes ride-on toys, decking, a garden including a vegetable patch, a sandpit and mud kitchen. Our decking has a full size sun canopy to protect from the summer sun
Emphasis is placed on child-led activities with a wide range of games, crafts, toys and messy play to enjoy. We pride ourselves on the calm and nuturing environment throughout the playschool supporting the development and wellbeing of all our children, encouraging them to develop their own independence and self-confidence.
Each child is allocated a key worker and buddy and we develop strong relationships with all our families.
At Bodiam pre-school we believe passionately in the individual development of each of our children to prepare them for the rest of their education and personal development journey.
SESSIONS AND FEES
We run two sessions a day during term time, Monday - Friday, plus a lunch club.
- Morning session runs 8.45 - 11.45
- Lunch club runs 11.45 - 12.30
- Afternoon session runs 12.30 - 3.30
From 1 September 2023 each session costs £16.50 (hourly rate of £5.50) plus £4.50 for lunch club. Children bring their own packed lunch from home but healthy snacks and water or milk are included in each session. We welcome children with allergies and you are welcome to provide their own gluten free/dairy free alternative.
​OUR STAFF

Our dedicated team of three permanent, long-standing members of staff can care for up to 15 children in each session.

Each child is given a Keyworker and a Buddy to care for them.
​
All members of staff are highly trained and qualified to either NVQ or degree level, attend regular workshops and in house training. Click the STAFF tab to meet them.
